My mom, Adam, and I drove to Mt. Shasta for our annual Impact Retreat to connect with nature, God, Jesus, Spirit, and who we truly are and what we are committed to. It was very powerful, beautiful, and relaxing thanks to Rachel and my dad who watched my kids all week. After the conference was over we headed down to the Bay Area to visit my Aunt Madeline in Bolinas (hippy town on the coast) and old friends we grew up with that I haven't seen for 10 years. We went to the old hood, The City where we went to Pier 39, Louis- famous restaurant- for lunch overlooking the ocean, took a nap in Golden Gate Park (we probably looked homeless), shopping on crazy Haight and Ashbury, and to dinner with my cousin Rick and his companion, Juli. We then went to a theater production with them of Spring Awakening (which has won numerous Tony Awards, but contains very racy material), then to an Irish Pub for some drinks (diet Coke) and dancing to a band that played fun classics like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. Our last day I gave up my plane ticket to stay and go sailing with our friends on the Bay, which was absolutely amazing going around the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Angel Island, and Alcatraz, and worth the long, sleepless drive home to my girls! I felt rejuvinated for about 10 minutes then got quickly reinitiated into the usual joys and challenges of motherhood!

What a great time you guys had. So fun to be able to go away with your brother and Mom and bond. You looked like you were able to pack a whole lot in while you were in Cali, too bad you were not in SoCAL we could have done lunch or some shopping. You look great and hope you and your family are well
